Calmer weather at Athelhampton today, the snow, frost, rain and wind of the last week was replaced by a dull grey sky.
Our visitors still explore the gardens, but at this time of the year the historic House is the focal point for many.
539 years after William Martyn started building Athelhampton's Tudor Great Hall it looks absolutely amazing.
Low level lighting, candles, log fire and antique furnishings it's like a step back in time (and another 16 rooms to explore).
Athelhampton is open to the public all year around.

I love that visitors can explore so many rooms and that's not my neighbor experience a piece of England’s history up close — the fact that it’s open year-round means there’s always a chance to visit, even in the quieter seasons.
