Mrs Harmsworth's bedroom reopens

This year we are opening more rooms at Athelhampton, the highlight will be the restored Elizabethan Kitchen, opening for the first time ever, in late spring. Meanwhile Mrs Harmsworth’s bedroom has re-opened after a years long refurbishment. The repair of the panelling and a subtle tweak in decoration are the most visible changes, but as part of our Carbon Zero project lots has gone on behind the scenes.

.

Mrs Harmsworth owned Athelhampton in the 1930s, you can find out about her time living at Athelhampton, when you visit.
