Updated: Mar 25, 2025

Our creative chefs create delicious specials for our restaurant daily. Today’s creations are flying out, Beef Jalfrezi and a Normandy Pork Casserole.

Our restaurant is open seven days a week and serves home-cooked food, you can enjoy a tasty hot lunch as well as Dorset cream teas, sandwiches, and snacks.

We are not just a Dorset visitor attraction, if you having a day out in Dorchester why not come over, we are easily found near Puddletown, and you can visit the Coach House restaurant without paying admission to the historic house and gardens.

Come along and try one of the chef's specials before they run out.. but there are always more to come...

Looks like the kind of place you stumble upon once and then keep going back to. Beef Jalfrezi and Normandy Pork Casserole? That’s a serious comfort-food lineup. I’m a big believer that home-cooked meals just hit differently, they slow you down in the best way. My family always bonded over simple lunches like that. Even when I’m dealing with everyday things, like calling Sound customer service about my speakers, I find myself craving that cozy restaurant feeling afterward. There’s something special about a warm plate, good company, and knowing the chefs made it with care. Definitely adding this to my list!

This post really hit home for me. My trusty old stove, which has seen countless family dinners, broke down last month and my first thought was to just replace it. Thankfully, I called the team at stove repair Alexandria VA first. They not only fixed it for a fraction of the cost of a new one, but saving it felt like preserving years of memories cooked into it. There’s something special about keeping an appliance that has been at the heart of so many gatherings. Sometimes fixing the old is better than buying new, both for your wallet and your heart.
