Free EV Charging at Athelhampton House

The team at Athelhampton have spent this week getting ready for what is sure to be a busy May bank holiday weekend. The gardens are blooming in the sunshine, and we're generating so much power with our solar panels we're exporting plenty to the grid.

So, we're now able to do a great deal for anyone who drives an electric vehicle!

A view along the rows of solar panels in a field behind Athelhampton. There's a cloudless blue sky above, and then the solar panels are angled from the bottom left hand corner towards the centre. A second row is partially visible on the right hand side of the image. Behind them both is a row of trees.

If you visit Athelhampton this weekend, when you go inside to buy your tickets to go round the house and gardens, you can tell a member of staff you'd like to have one of our free EV charges. Once you've plugged your car in, and let the staff member know which charger you've plugged it into, they'll give you the charge for absolutely nothing! That's right - no pence per kilowatt hour.

Charger. The E. V. charger is just on the right of the centre of the image. The E.V. charger is in line with a fairly newly planted hedge. It's a tall black rectangle, with grey trim on the corners and a light on the top that isn't turned on. There's a white sign on it, just below the light, but the text isn't legible. Just to the left of the E.V. charger is a large black swing sign that says "Test Drive Available" in white sans serif text in the centre, and then "Tesla" in small text right at the bottom. On the other side of the hedge, there are two tesla cars as well as another car.

Then, feel free to explore the house and gardens at your leisure in the sunshine, while you take advantage of our free EV charging over this bank holiday weekend. With over 20 rooms to explore, the house is the perfect place to retreat from the heat, while with their fountains, ponds, and shady corners, the gardens can also offer some respite.
