Doubling the Number of House Stewards at Athelhampton

As part of a huge investment in Athelhampton's potential, we've doubled the number of house stewards at Athelhampton this season. With visitor numbers picking up as we move from Winter into Spring, it's important to ensure that each of our guests receives contact time with our stewards - able to ask questions, and gain a more personal experience tailored to their interests, and what they want to find out.

Like all those who work on site, the house stewards at Athelhampton are paid staff - not volunteers. They all have an incredible amount of knowledge about the house and its history. Despite (or perhaps because of) the age of the house, we are still discovering new information both about the building and the families who lived here. As time goes on and research moves forwards, they are perpetually re-evaluating this knowledge, so that our visitors have access to the most up to date information.

Athelhampton House is open every day, except a few days over Christmas, with both house and gardens now open from 10am.
