Come and try your hand at a new skill that is useful, historical and environmentally-friendly, and take away a practical product at the of the day. All materials will be provided, with tuition from a friendly and informative tutor.

Alastair Braidwood is a local knitter and knitting tutor, with a keen interest in traditional knitting methods and natural fibres. In this one day course you will make a hat from British wool, starting from cast-on stitches. Elements of design can also be applied.

This course is perfect for novices and long-time lapsers alike.

Timings

9.15am - 9.30am: Arrival

9.30am: Coffee and Biscuits

10am – 12.30pm: Morning Session

12.30pm – 1.30pm: Lunch

1.30pm – 3.30: Afternoon Session

3.30pm – 4pm: Tea and Cake

4pm – 5.30pm: Evening Session

5.30pm: Depart with your fully completed hat.
